Learning Styles

In order to become a successful student, it is important for you to know what kind of learning style you are. There three basic styles of learning.  Watch this video:

After reading the article above, take this quiz:  What is your learning style?

Your last step is to submit the following in schoology.  Be sure to include the following:

  1. In one to two sentences, and in your own words, describe the three main learning styles.
  2. Based on the quiz you took, which learning style are you?
  3. Explain why you agree or disagree with what the quiz found.  If you agree, give a few examples that prove you learn best according to that style.  If you disagree, explain which style you think you are and give examples to prove it.
  4. Create an animoto (make an account) based on your learning style and embed it in your submission.

Welcome to Success Skills at Davis!

Welcome to Success Skills at Davis.  This course is designed to help students be successful in school by integrating Success Skills into the curriculum. Major units include Organization, Time Management, Goal Setting, Writing Skills, Study Skills, Listening Skills,  Reading Strategies, Test-taking Skills, Note-taking, Choosing College & Careers, Life Skills, and School Culture.

Basically, we will be working together this year to help you be a successful student. I look forward to working with you this year and hope that you will utilize the resources provided for you in this course wisely and effectively.
